5 Animes to Watch when You're Bored
Sometimes your app recommendations aren't doing well or you're just looking for a simple, casual anime to watch for some fun and laughs. I present you.. 5 animes to watch when you're bored, multitasking, or trying to watch with friends and family:
Kaguya-sama: Love is War (Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai)
A new anime that has already gotten a second season, with news of a third, Love is War has an entertaining story-line that is sure to make you want to watch more. Two school geniuses fight for the other's confession, often coming up with scenarios that backfire hilariously. This anime has won the hearts of many otakus, and Crunchyroll's 2020 Best Ending Sequence, Best Couple, and Best Comedy awards!
My Ordinary Life (Nichijou)
This anime came out in 2011, yet its art style and stories have still kept it relevant, almost a decade later. It is a great anime to watch when you're bored or multi-tasking, and in need of a good laugh. The anime features three girls with different personalities and their daily life, as well as tells the tales of various people in their neighborhood.
Place to Place (Acchi Kocchi)
Released in 2012, it is still one of my go-to animes to re-watch when I'm bored or binge-watching with friends. The anime features a group of five friends going through comedic everyday scenarios. There is a lovable mix of childish antics, budding romance, and hilarious adventures that will surely make your day better.
Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun (Gekkan Shojo Nozaki-kun)
After Sakura tries to confess her love to Nozaki, she finds herself working for him instead. It's a funny and extremely lovable anime. I always tell people to watch the entire thing even if they get bored, because the best and funniest parts of the anime come when you finish the first few episodes and understand all the characters and how they interact with each other.
Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku (Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii)
Released just last year, this anime tells the story of a budding romance between two very different characters. While their relationship started strangely, their feelings continue to grow and reveal different thoughts and perspectives about each other. This anime also showcases other love stories that will make your heart yearn for more details of their tale.
Bonus:
Recovery of an MMO Junkie (Net-juu no Susume)
I find this anime to be a hidden gem. After stumbling onto it on YouTube, it took me a day to finish the entire thing. It's an adorable story that takes place after the main character downloads a new game and meets a special person. By some unbelievable strings of fate, the two main characters find themselves meeting again and again, before finally revealing their identities.
